I study higher education, with a particular focus on doctoral education, doctoral supervision, and the ways universities design conditions for early-career researchers. My main goal is to identify the factors that can improve early-career researchers' experience and help us better understand how to make entry into science more accessible.

Methodologically, I work at the intersection of sociology of education and data-informed institutional analysis. I use survey data and non-reactive digital traces. My work is primarily quantitative, with a focus on econometric tools, but I also have experience conducting qualitative research based on semi-structured interviews.
